GROUPS

Since our launch in 2000, the team at HiHumans has worked tirelessly to promote our cause. We are fortunate to have volunteers and staff from all walks of life who bring their unique expertise and resources into everything we do. This is what enables us to achieve our goals year after year.

While there is always more that can be done, there is no doubt that we are making a significant impact. We don’t measure our success through just facts and figures, but through happy faces and heartwarming feedback. See how you can become part of the difference.

Listen and be listned to

Our groups exist as a place to come and actively listen to others share from their inner world, and have people listen to you. It is a place to get support in navigating the ups and downs of life, while creating a deeper connection with yourself and other people.

Authentic Relating

Authentic Relating is a method which is built on active listening and sharing. We do different exercises where people sit, often in paris, and share around different subjects important in life and for well-being.

Esther, 21:

Experiencing authentic relating is such powerful experience. After just a few times participating I noticed how much more open I was to expressing myself to others and encouraging their expression aswell. I believe this kind of exercise can deepen our relationships with ourselves and eachother, which is invaluable for societies wellbeing. This kind of connection and expression with others could help young people navigate their lives in a healthier and happier way. I haven't seen work like this anywhere else in the world and truly believe it is needed and incredibly impactful.

Gustaf, 31:

The Authentic Relating meetings have been and are an important place for me as a person and as a citizen. Having access to a space to be brave together with others and enter into issues we otherwise hesitate to approach is gold. As a method, it opens up for a deeper contact with ourselves and each other by offering good conditions for relating. Something I might otherwise feel is difficult and a little too easy to avoid in order to protect myself. Experiences of feeling seen and learning to listen to others in depth is something that I carry with me into other contexts and that I believe makes me a better human being. For me, it has been an exercise in standing in worry and doubt about trust, should I show myself as I feel right now? A society where there are opportunities to practice relationship building is a more resilient society, better able to deal with conflict. In short, it contributes to a better way of being human.

Emil, 35:

Authentic relating is a perfect tool to help you socialize authentically in a safe space where everything is welcome. You come as you are, and express yourself as you feel at that moment. The beauty of the concept is that you have the opportunity to discuss things you might not normally do in your everyday life. You get closer to others in depth, including yourself. Sometimes it can feel uncomfortable, but that is exactly when there is a lot to gain and develop. For me, I have felt a greater acceptance from others and gained more acceptance for myself. I have also been asked questions that put me against the wall, because it rarely happens that you get questions that make you think properly. Questions that you need to ask your inner self. I firmly believe that this can affect people's social capacity in society over a longer period of time. As we use social media so extensively, I can feel that we are increasingly losing the sensitivity and beauty of direct contact with each other. Being able to openly talk about their feelings means that others also dare and understand the importance of it being essential. It would create tolerance & understanding. In addition, I believe that the feeling of loneliness could be reduced.
